Pine Creek Trail

Pine Creek Trail is one of four short but moderately difficult hikes found in Tonto Natural Bridge State Park. This heavily trafficked trail leads to the largest natural travertine bridge in the world—it’s picturesque arch and waterfall are awe inspiring, considering the millions of years that it took to make the bridge.

Gowan Trail

This trail is steeper than the Pine Trail,  but involves no climbing over big rocks. It’s the way to go for anyone uncomfortable trekking across tall boulders. The  climb downhill leads you to the same observation area as the Pine Trail. While not as peaceful, quiet, or scenic as the journey along the Pine Creek Trail, the ending view is the same stunning view of the world’s largest natural travertine bridge
